LOS ANGELES (TNA) -- Here's some good news for students who are worried about finding a job in these tough economic times: Anything is possible if you're willing to be naked.

After performing only in tighty whitey underwear for 10 years, the Naked Cowboy is getting a reality show.

Case in point: Robert Burck, who is better known as "The Naked Cowboy" has just been signed to host a new reality series that will focus on the unique lifestyles of buskers.

Burck is uniquely suited to the job since he has earned a certain amount of fame by playing guitar in Times Square clad only in a cowboy hat, boots and tighty whitey undies that read "Naked Cowboy" on the back.

Burck will be working on the show with Bischoff Hervey Entertainment, the company co-owned by former "Wonder Years" cast member Jason Hervey, who was also a producer of the VH1 reality hit, "Scott Baio Is 45 And Single" and the upcoming CMT show Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling.

Naturally, Hervey is enthusiastic about the show's chances.

"The Naked Cowboy is one of the most successful street performers in the country. Other shows have done a great job showcasing competition, we plan to take a deeper dive with heart," Hervey said.

But Burck isn't surprised by the new opportunity. He's expected it since he first started performing in 1998.

"I've weathered snow, sleet and rain, wearing only underwear in the most populated commercial real estate for over 10 years knowing that one day I would have a show of my own," exclaimed The Naked Cowboy.

As part of the hype for the upcoming show, The Naked Cowboy will be featured on ABC's Good Morning America Saturday, August 16th and 23rd participating as a judge for a fun GMA competition segment called "Intern Superstar" between two very talented GMA interns.

An internet component for viewers to vote for their favorite intern will be posted on the Good Morning America Web site.
